Unreal Engine 4
This guide will walk you through the steps required to start developing with Hive SDK.
Note
Hive SDK supports various development environments (Android, iOS, Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.). This guide assumes that you already know how to develop, build, and release game apps using each development environment and will guide you through the use of Hive SDK. For information on how to develop, build, and release game apps for each development environment, refer to the developer center and developer documentation for each development environment.
Setting up the development environment¶
Check and configure the development environment required for using the latest version of Hive SDK.
Unreal Engine build¶
Unreal Engine 4 is required to install Hive SDK. Download and build the Unreal Engine source code.
Note
When using Hive SDK Unreal Engine 4 iOS on a macOS development environment with an Apple Silicon CPU, you must use the Rosetta emulator. Check Product > Destination > Destination Architectures > Show Rosetta Destinations in Xcode.
Hive Console setup¶
After joining and logging in to Hive Console, proceed with the pre-configuration to use Hive SDK.
