Using Remote Play

Remote Play on the Hive platform provides a high-performance game streaming service.

PC games with Remote Play applied through the Hive SDK can easily implement core functions required for Remote Play, such as video streaming, audio transmission, and game control. This can significantly reduce development costs related to Remote Play.


Basic Remote Play features

The basic functions of Remote Play provided by the Hive platform are as follows.

  • Plugin Integration: You can easily build a Remote Play service environment by simply linking the game and Hive SDK. Build a more optimized Remote Play service environment with easy plugin integration.
  • Optimized Hardware Encoding: Provides hardware encoding functions optimized for the user's PC performance. It maximizes the graphic performance of chips from each manufacturer, such as Nvidia, AMD, and Intel, to provide a faster and more differentiated encoding experience.
  • Play Information Security: During remote play, the host PC's play information is not exposed to the outside, providing a safe gaming environment.
  • Providing a dedicated remote play web page: A dedicated remote play web page is provided for each game, allowing app users to conveniently enjoy remote play by simply accessing the web page.


Remote Play execution sequence

The process of running a game with Remote Play is as follows.

  1. Run the game on the host PC to which you want to connect Remote Play and log in.

  2. Access the Remote Play web page URL set in the Hive console.

  3. Log in with the same account as the game you ran on the host PC.

  4. Change Remote Play Settings to ON.

  5. Click Connect PC to start Remote Play.
