What's an Indicator Creation?

  • Indicator creation is a feature that allows users to freely compose tables and graphs using analytics data.
  • Hive Console > Analytics > Create Indicator

Indicator List

  1. When a game is selected, a list of relevant metrics will be displayed
  2. Metrics can be searched using the search function.
  3. Click an indicator title to move to the edit screen for that indicator.
  4. Click the Create Indicator button to move to the screen for creating a new indicator.

Create Indicator

  1. Select Indicator

    • Click the Create Indicator button to browse or search for available indicators.
    • Select the indicator you want to display in the table/graph by clicking it, and the selected indicator will appear in the measures area.

  2. Dimension

    • Dimensions are criteria used to categorize indicator data, typically by country, market, etc.
    • The list of dimensions provided by the selected indicator will be displayed.
    • If multiple indicators are selected, only common dimensions will be displayed.
  3. Measure

    • Measures refer to numerical data corresponding to the dimensions, such as active users or revenue.
    • The selected indicators will be displayed.
  4. Arranging Dimensions and Measures

    • Drag and drop the dimensions and measures you want to display in the table/graph into the column and row areas.
    • The graph will be generated based on the table's row and column data.
      • Columns: Items displayed in the columns of the table.
      • Rows: Items displayed in the rows of the table.
    • At least one measure must be placed in either the columns or rows.
  5. Detailed Dimension Settings

    • You can add detailed settings to the dimensions.
    • Rename: Change the dimension name displayed in the table/graph.
    • Description: Add a description to be displayed in the table/graph.
    • Add Sort: Click the button to add the dimension to the sort area on the right, where you can set the sorting order for each value.
  6. Detailed Measure Settings

    • You can add detailed settings to the measures.
    • Rename: Change the measure name displayed in the table/graph.
    • Description: Add a description to be displayed in the table/graph.
    • Decimal Places: Specify the number of decimal places to display in the table/graph. This only applies if there are decimal values.
    • Show Changes: Highlight changes in values, displaying positive changes in red and negative changes in blue.
  7. Title

    • Enter a title for the table/graph.
  8. Preview

    • The table/graph will be displayed in the lower area using the configured measures, dimensions, etc. If changes are made to the settings, click the Preview button to refresh the table/graph.
    • Filters and sorts applied within the table are not saved. If you need to set default filters or sorts, do so in the filter/sort area on the right.
  9. Reset

    • This resets the selected measures, dimensions, layout, and other selected information.
  10. Apply to All Games

    • Only users with Admin or Owner permissions in the console can use this feature. When applying an indicator to all games, it will be viewable across all games. Therefore, you must add the appIdGroup field to the Columns or Rows to reference measures for each game.
    • If the indicator is not applied to all games, it will be created for the games in the selected game list.
  11. Filter

    • Click the Add Filter button in the detailed settings for dimensions/measures to add them to the filter area on the right, where you can set the desired filter.
    • You can configure conditions based on four data types: INTEGER, FLOAT, STRING, and DATETIME.
      • STRING data types provide a list of selectable values. It may take a minimum of 1 hour to a maximum of 1 day for new log values to appear.
  12. Sort

    • Click the Add Sort button in the detailed settings for dimensions/measures to add them to the sort area on the right, where you can configure the sorting order for the selected values.
    • The sort area will only appear if at least one sort option is selected from the detailed settings of the dimension or measure.
  13. Chart

    • Choose the type of chart to display, and you can also opt to show the title or additional values such as totals.
    • Calculation values like totals and averages are only available for tables.
  14. Default Date

    • Set the default date range that will be used when viewing the indicator in the dashboard or indicator creation screen.
    • You can select the aggregation period as hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.
    • Set the start and end dates as either fixed or relative.
      • Fixed Date: Specifies a specific date.
      • Relative Date: Sets a dynamic date range based on the current day.
  15. Save

    • Save the indicator with the configured settings.
    • Saved indicators can be viewed in the indicator list and can also be linked to the dashboard.
  16. List

    • Navigate back to the indicator list page.
