Currency Settings¶
Overview¶
Currency Settings is a feature used in the Create > Chart menu to specify the currency to use.
You can set the target currency used for unified analysis by converting revenue events received in different currencies into a single currency.
Note
The menu and list are visible to all users. Adding, deleting, and editing are available only to users registered in Settings > Metric Settings > Access Permission Management.
What Can You Do?¶
Business/Marketing Users¶
- If you set the base currency to a global standard such as USD, you can immediately compare revenue across Korea, the United States, Japan, and other countries on a single basis.
- If you are responsible for a specific region, you can set the currency to that region's currency and analyze market revenue intuitively.
Data Analysts¶
- When analyzing revenue-based metrics such as ARPU and ARPPU, setting a consistent base currency improves the accuracy of time-series comparisons.
Quick Start¶
If you are using Currency Settings for the first time, follow the steps below to change the base currency.
- Click Settings > Metric Settings > Currency Settings in the left sidebar.
- Select the desired base currency from the list.
- Click the Save button.
- Afterwards, when you view revenue metrics in charts, data will be displayed using the selected currency basis.
Note
For detailed settings such as supported currencies and how currency is applied, refer to Full Features.

Apply Currency Settings¶
Currency Settings can be applied directly per measure value in Create > Chart > [Chart] tab.
- When creating or editing a chart, you can individually choose the currency to display for each measure value in the [Chart] tab.
- The selected currency is immediately reflected in the metric value for that measure value. Different currencies can be set for different measure values within the same chart.
- Charts added to dashboards can also be viewed with different currency settings, allowing flexible comparison of revenue metrics across multiple currency bases.
Example Use Case¶
Unified Currency Analysis for a Global Service¶
For a game operated simultaneously in Korea, the United States, and Japan:
-> If the base currency is set to USD, all payment amounts across countries are converted to USD, making total revenue aggregation possible
Notes & Tips¶
- Changing the currency setting changes the revenue metric values of charts that use that setting.
- Exchange rates use the previous month's average exchange rate based on Hana Bank disclosures. For example, the July average exchange rate is applied to August revenue metrics, and the August average exchange rate is applied to September revenue metrics.
- If the event data does not include currency and money attributes, conversion may not be performed correctly. Check with the development team to confirm that currency and money attributes are being sent.
- Currency codes must follow the ISO 4217 standard (KRW, USD, JPY, etc.). If a code that does not follow the standard is sent, conversion may not be performed correctly.
