Template
Overview
Template is a feature that provides commonly used dashboard, chart, funnel, and retention configurations that the Analytics system preconfigures by default.
Without setting everything up yourself from scratch, you can quickly create the content you need just by selecting a template, and you can freely edit it as needed after you create it.
What can you do?
Business/marketing users
- You can instantly create a summary dashboard that includes key metrics such as AU, NU, revenue, and ARPPU with a single click.
- Even if you are using Analytics for the first time, you can use templates as a reference for which metrics to configure and how.
Data analysts
- You can quickly start analysis structures that you create repeatedly (retention, funnels, and so on) from templates and adjust only the detailed conditions.
Quick start
- Click the Create button at the top, and then click Template
- Click the content type you want to create (chart, funnel, retention, or dashboard).
- When the settings are filled in with the template applied, edit them as needed and click the Create button.
Note
You can freely change all settings even after you select a template. A template fills in the initial values.

Templates are divided into tabs by content type.

To use templates, you must send each event and attribute. For events, see Send event logs, and for attributes, see Send event attributes.

Template application results
Dashboard template
When you apply a dashboard template, you move to the creation screen where preconfigured panels are placed. From the dropdown in the upper-right corner of each panel, you can individually select the project to apply to that panel.
Because you can assign a different project to each panel, you can also compare metrics from multiple apps side by side in one dashboard.
Chart/funnel/retention template
When you select a template, the creation screen opens with key settings such as measure values and dimension values already filled in. Add or change settings in the left panel, and then click the Create button to save the content.
Notes & tips
- A template provides initial settings, and you can freely edit every item after you apply it.
- Depending on the event or metric settings, some templates may not display data. In this case, first check the Event or Metric settings.
